SLJ Week 1 Activity 5

 

Today for our fifth summer learning journey activities we were tasked at creating a kowhaiwhai pattern on paper or digital. In my kowhaiwhai I tried to create something that had to do with family. The task at Chromebooks was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot, it was also really fun to see my partners designs, and I found it really challenging.

This week we made a Insect for Summer Learning Journey. I made a Dragon Fly with my friends Matheus and Mercy. I made it with sticks, leaves and rocks.

We read an article about a man losing his false teeth and watched a video clip to help us write our own comic.

 LI:To collect materials needed to successfully complete our weekly superpower building missions with Nano Girl. 

This morning room 5 worked in groups with our Year 7 and 8 students so they can help us with our first Summer Learning Journey blog posts. PBS are still at school this week so finding some of the materials we needed for our treasure hunt was easy. Our challenge is going to be able to find all the materials we need at home now. I found this activity fun because it fun looking around my house for things I needed. I am looking forward to the next experiment with Nano Girl.
