SLJ Week 1 Activity 4 Insect Art
This week we made a Insect for Summer Learning Journey. I made a Dragon Fly with my friends Matheus and Mercy. I made it with sticks, leaves and rocks.
Tēnā koe Ahli, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey Team.
Well done on completing the insect art activity!
I really like that you have used lots of different materials to make your dragonfly, like stones and leaves, and included a background for your insect to look like it is in its natural habitat! What was your favourite part about creating your dragonfly, and what other insects do you think you would like to make?
I also really like that you have enlarged the photo so that it stands out on your blog and made a cool border for your picture, it looks very artistic! Next time, maybe you could include a description of your creative process, like what your materials you gathered first and how you came up with the idea to do a dragonfly!
Ngā mihi nui and keep up the great blogging! Elle (SLJ)
My favourite part about making the dragonfly was the head because it was a stone and I had had to measure each stone that was perfect to use for the dragonfly head. I think I could make a Ladybug, Spider, an Ant or a Caterpillar.
I should add what was my materials and how I came up with the dragon fly.
It is so cool to hear that you measured each stone and that you were so careful with size! I think you chose the perfect size and it looks like a very realistic dragonfly! Did you use all of the stones you didn’t use for the head as the background?
I think all of those insects are a great idea. The ant and the ladybug would be lots of fun, because you could either make them very small, and a caterpillar and spider would be exciting because they have lots of legs!
Great job Ahli and I can’t wait to see what you do next!
Hello Ahli, I love your SLJ blog and how you made a dragon fly with sticks, leaves and rocks. What made want to make a Dragon Fly.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Koura-Beau,
DeleteI made a dragon fly because it has 4 wings and they fly 7.5 miles per day. What animal did you make?
Kind Regards
Ahli
