Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding the same numbers many times. The three, four, and the six times tables examples of multiplication. 

The three times tables are multiplying three by a number of groups.

The four times tables are multiplying four by a number of groups.

The six times tables are multilpying six by a number of groups.

The Times Table is an easy to remember basic multiplication equations The next times tables to learn are the seven, eight, and nine times tables.

Ll: to use multiplication to count many times.

HPE | What is Team Work

 This week we are learning about Teamwork.

First we played a game called Blind Fold Cone Challenge. My partner is Emmanuel. I was blind folded and my partner had to tell where I have to put my cone it was hard because I thought I was going to crash to the wall.

Next we played a game Blind Fold Dodge Ball. I was with Emmanuel and it was hard to throw the beanbag while blinded folded and It was hard because it was loud I couldn't hear my partner.

Lastly we played Hunger games Dodge Ball we had to be in a square and dodge the ball I keep on getting out because I close to the person that has the ball.

I enjoyed these games because I got to use Collaboration, Communication and Cooperation.     

Compare and Contrast | Inquiry

I did Compare and Contrast of cultural dances.

First I had to chose which dances I wanted to do. I did Kapa Haka and Hip Hop.

Next I wrote the similarities between Kapa Haka and Hip Hop.

After I I wrote down my differences. One of my differences I wrote down was that Hip Hop is a culture of fashion, language, music, movement, visual art and expression.

I enjoyed this activity because I learned lots about Kapa Haka and Hip Hop. Its interesting to see how something which seems so different can share cultural information.

SSR Sefile 2021

 I read 34 pages of How to be an International Spy.

First I had to read the book for 15 minutes.

Next I write 3 main facts about the book and find 3 words I did not know.

I disliked this book because I already knew about the topic and it didn't add more information to the topic.

Fact and Opinions l Reading

I complete a task called Fact and opinions.

First the class listened to the story The Highway Rat and then we did a character study on 2 different characters from the story. I wrote about the duck. 

Next we had to figure out what the fact and opinions were in a story I figure a fact out: The Duck told the highway rat their were food in the mountain.

Lastly we had to find 5 adjective on each box by using the thesaurus. These adjectives described the character traits.

A fact is a thing that is known to be true. A opinions is a judgement formed about something.

I think I need to work on my adjective because I did not know which are adjective and which are verbs.

Basic Facts Boxes 2021

I complete can-do task called Basic Facts Boxes

I got four minutes thirty four seconds. I got 100/100.

I think I need to be in a harder level because I complete it in four minutes thirty four second and 100 percent.

Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding the same number many times.

First I took a big group of counters of an unknown amount.

Next I I split the big group into small groups of 5.

Then I counted how many groups were there.

Lastly I made a rectangle with the counters and used multiplication to find out the unknown amount.

I enjoyed using multiplication because it is faster to add the same number many times.
