This story is about a kid name Chet Roscow see a shark and gets attack by a shark, but he saves his friends from dying.

I like Chet because he save his friends from dying.

Teamwork

Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Teamwork consists of three main mechanisms. 

Communication is talking to each other and sharing each others ideas. For an example of this in dodgeball is if someone can get a ball the team can communicate by calling out who to aim for.

Cooperation is working together and not let anyone being left out. For an example of this in dodgeball is letting other people to join the game.

Collaboration is working with another person or with a group to achieve or finish something. For an example of this in dodgeball is a team working together to win the game.

To be successful as a team all three mechanisms need to implemented throughout the activity.

Basic Facts Boxes 2021

 I complete a task called Basic Facts Boxes.

I did Multiplication 1-12.

I got 100/100 in 4 minutes 43 second.

I think I need to be on a harder level because I got 100/100.

Making Connections

Making Connections is connecting things that have similarities. There are three differnent types of connections when reading. They're text to self, text to text, and text to world. 

The text to self is connecting the text to your self like the duck tells the rat that she has a sister so she can save herself and I told my mum that I am allergic to carrots so I didn’t get to eat carrots. These connect because the duck tells that she has a sister so she can save her self and I told my mum I am allergic to carrots so I didn’t get to eat them.

The text to text is connecting one text with a different text from a different book the duck tried to defend herself from the highway rat and the mouse from the Gruffalo tricked the animals so he wouldn’t be eaten. This connection is the mouse and the duck both tricked the animal that tried to eat them because they wanted to save their lives.

The text to world is connecting the text to the world like when the duck did the right thing by taking back the village's food and people today give food to the the homeless. These connect because both are being considerate of other people.

Using text to self, text to text, and text to world is easy to use because it explains more about the text.

Duffy Role Model

Marc duffy is a duffy role model who shares information.

Marc couldn't read but in prison he learnt to read because their was a teacher there. 

Marc did boxing light weight champ in NZ until he had a daughter and stopped boxing.

He learnt the trade of of a builder and owned his own business. 

He worked for Bunning Fitting out their store. Now he manges the largest store in NZ, which is in Hamiton. 

He went back to university to become a Councillor.

Marc is a good role model because he is truthful, kind, and responsible.

Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding the same numbers many times. The three, four, and the six times tables examples of multiplication. 

The three times tables are multiplying three by a number of groups.

The four times tables are multiplying four by a number of groups.

The six times tables are multilpying six by a number of groups.

The Times Table is an easy to remember basic multiplication equations The next times tables to learn are the seven, eight, and nine times tables.

Ll: to use multiplication to count many times.

HPE | What is Team Work

 This week we are learning about Teamwork.

First we played a game called Blind Fold Cone Challenge. My partner is Emmanuel. I was blind folded and my partner had to tell where I have to put my cone it was hard because I thought I was going to crash to the wall.

Next we played a game Blind Fold Dodge Ball. I was with Emmanuel and it was hard to throw the beanbag while blinded folded and It was hard because it was loud I couldn't hear my partner.

Lastly we played Hunger games Dodge Ball we had to be in a square and dodge the ball I keep on getting out because I close to the person that has the ball.

I enjoyed these games because I got to use Collaboration, Communication and Cooperation.     

Compare and Contrast | Inquiry

I did Compare and Contrast of cultural dances.

First I had to chose which dances I wanted to do. I did Kapa Haka and Hip Hop.

Next I wrote the similarities between Kapa Haka and Hip Hop.

After I I wrote down my differences. One of my differences I wrote down was that Hip Hop is a culture of fashion, language, music, movement, visual art and expression.

I enjoyed this activity because I learned lots about Kapa Haka and Hip Hop. Its interesting to see how something which seems so different can share cultural information.

SSR Sefile 2021

 I read 34 pages of How to be an International Spy.

First I had to read the book for 15 minutes.

Next I write 3 main facts about the book and find 3 words I did not know.

I disliked this book because I already knew about the topic and it didn't add more information to the topic.

Fact and Opinions l Reading

I complete a task called Fact and opinions.

First the class listened to the story The Highway Rat and then we did a character study on 2 different characters from the story. I wrote about the duck. 

Next we had to figure out what the fact and opinions were in a story I figure a fact out: The Duck told the highway rat their were food in the mountain.

Lastly we had to find 5 adjective on each box by using the thesaurus. These adjectives described the character traits.

A fact is a thing that is known to be true. A opinions is a judgement formed about something.

I think I need to work on my adjective because I did not know which are adjective and which are verbs.

Basic Facts Boxes 2021

I complete can-do task called Basic Facts Boxes

I got four minutes thirty four seconds. I got 100/100.

I think I need to be in a harder level because I complete it in four minutes thirty four second and 100 percent.

Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding the same number many times.

First I took a big group of counters of an unknown amount.

Next I I split the big group into small groups of 5.

Then I counted how many groups were there.

Lastly I made a rectangle with the counters and used multiplication to find out the unknown amount.

I enjoyed using multiplication because it is faster to add the same number many times.
